Help with Arrange for Mac.
Contact: ifiqhan@gmail.com. Include your macOS version and, if a window misbehaves, the app it belongs to.
Granting Accessibility
Arrange needs Accessibility to list and move windows. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility and turn on Arrange. If Arrange is not listed, click +, choose Arrange from your Applications folder, then turn it on. The Arrange window updates by itself once access is granted.
Stage Manager sets
- Sets appear only while Stage Manager is on (System Settings › Desktop & Dock › Stage Manager).
- Adding a window's app to the current set briefly moves the pointer to the side strip and presses Shift. This is how macOS accepts the change; the pointer returns afterwards.
- "Move to its own set" uses the app's Window › Remove Window from Set command. Apps without a Window menu fall back to a short title-bar drag.
Pinned windows
- A pin is a live mirror of the window you choose in the macOS picker. It needs no Screen Recording permission.
- After relaunching Arrange, choose the window again; macOS does not let apps remember picker choices.
- Protected video can appear black in a mirror.
Hotkeys
Defaults are ⌃⌥1–6 for grid cells, ⌃⌥G for the grid picker, ⌃⌥P to pin, ⌥Tab for the set switcher and ⌃⌥O for the sets overview. Every hotkey can be changed in Settings › Hotkeys, which also warns when another app already uses a shortcut.
Arrange Pro
Pro is a one-time purchase. To restore it on another Mac signed in to the same Apple Account, open Settings › Pro and click Restore Purchases. Refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
